Wendell Weideman, 90, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Friday, April 10th, 2026, at Cass Health surrounded by family in Atlantic, Iowa.
Wendell is survived by his wife Shirley Weideman of Atlantic; son, Mark (Tammy) Weideman of Atlantic; daughters, Denise (Jeff) Lowary of Atlantic, Sherry (Nick) Pross of Atlantic; grandchildren, Tyler (Jess) Weideman of Center Point, Iowa, Matt (Michelle) Madsen of Brayton, Iowa, Amy (Jared) Walker of Anita, Iowa, Derek (Stephanie) Lowary of Shawnee, Kansas, Cole (Andrea) Lowary of Atlantic, Anna (Matt) Welton of Omaha, Nebraska, Sara (Landon) Schneider of Papillion, Nebraska, Pluma Pross of Atlantic; 18 great-grandchildren; cousins, Sandi (Dale) Weideman, Janet Weideman, Dale (Jodi) Weideman, Sandy (Randy) Raitz and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Floyd and Ruby Irene (Bagley) Weideman, in-laws, Harold and Katheryn Thiessen; cousin, Gary and Wilma Weideman.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall in Atlantic, Iowa followed by a picnic luncheon in the hall for all in attendance. Pastor Gary DeGeest will be officiating the services. Burial will be at a later date.
