(Knoxville) Knoxville placed four players in the top eight and topped the field with a 10-over-par 290 at a boys’ 3A Sectional Golf Tournament on Wednesday at Pine Knolls Golf Course in Knoxville.
Atlantic placed three golfers in the top ten and finished second with a 300. Winterset finished third with 314.
Grant Gerdes and Brady Roozeboom finished first and second with a 69 and 70, respectively. Urban Miller finished fourth with a 75, and Mikey DeVos was eighth with a score of 76.
For Atlantic, Gage Gross finished third with a one-over-par 71. Brady Wood and Sam Brosam balanced out the top five low scores with 75s. Hudson McLaren rounded out the scoring for the Trojans with a 79. Braxton Hass shot 85, and Jack Muller shot 88.
Knoxville, Atlantic, and Winterset advance to the District Golf Tournament at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club on Monday, May 18.
