Atlantic Girl’s Tie for Fourth at East Invite in Sioux City

(Sioux City) The Atlantic girls’ golf team finished in a tie for fourth place with Heelan on Wednesday at the East Invitational Golf Tournament at the Whispering Creek Golf Club in Sioux City.

Sioux City, West won the tournament with a +85 on the par 72 course. Hinton finished second with a +101, LeMars third, (+119), Atlantic and Heelan finished fourth at (+135).

Makenna Schroeder posted a strong performance for Atlantic, earning a sixth-place medal out of 53 competitors with a 98. Madison McLaren tied for 12^th with a 104. Reese Ball tied for 20^th, (110), Nevaeh Fewson, tied for 24^th, (111), Lily Willrich, 48^th, (130), and Addie Freund, 51^st, (138).

Ashlyn Kramer, of Hinton, medaled with an 83. Mya Skov, of LeMars, finished runner-up with a score of 92.

Sioux City, East finished sixth (+145), Woodbury Central seventh (+148), Sioux City, North eighth (+154), Sergeant Bluff-Luton ninth (+164), and unattached 10th (+259).
