(Atlantic) Ankeny Centennial delivered a strong performance at the Bruce Henderson Relays in Atlantic on Monday, capturing the team title with 128.5 points. The Jaguars secured first place in three events and added three runner-up finishes to seal the victory.

Harlan led off the meet with a first-place finish in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay in a time of 1:53.35 with Daniels, Sonderman, Wegner, and Heslink carrying the baton. Lili Denton of S. Albert followed with a win in the 3000 in a time of 10:40.25. Denton later anchored the Distance Medley Relay to a win at 4:23.60. Ashlyn Rau finished second in the 800 Meters in 2:30.40. The quad of Wegner, Sonderman, Van Baale, and Heslink won the 4×400 Meter Relay in 4:15.10. Cora Smith of Creston won the 200 Meters in 26.03 and the 400 Meters in 59.18. Julia Heslink of Harlan finished a close second in a time of 59.22. Delayna Reese if Lewis Central outdistanced the field in the 800 Meters in 2:25.22. Ashlyn Rau of Harlan finished second in a time of 2:30.40. Madelyn Hoss finished first in the 1500 Meters in 4:54.47, and teammate Madelyn Hoss won the 800 Meters in 4:54.47. The Cyclones also won the 4×400 Meter Relay with Wegner, Sonderman, Van Baale, and Heslink in 4:15.10.
Glenwood dominated in the 4×800 relay as Grace Berglund ran away from Ankeny Centennial in the anchor leg and posted a 10:13.23. Grace Berglund finished second in the 1500 Meters in 4:56.14. Glenwood finished second in the 4×400 Meter Relay in 4:26.18. The baton carriers included Harms, Hughes, Houser, and Schulte. Glenwood finished first and second in the Shot Put. Maggie Smith of Glenwood finished first with a throw of 33-08.25, and Ava Hernandez, also of the Rams, finished second in 33-07.75.
Clarinda won the 4×100 Meter Relay with 4×100 Meter Relay with Barnes, Wagoner, Meier, and Bird in 51.23.
