(Atlantic) Atlantic golfer Gage Gross got off to a great start to the season last week at the Des Moines-Christian Invitational Golf Tournament at Jester Park
Gage won the individual title with a one-under-par 71, and for his effort, he is awarded the KS95.7 Armor Insurance Trojan Athlete of the Week.
Atlantic Head Coach Kendra Henningsen says Gage’s short game played a key role in his impressive opening round score. Henningsen says during his round, Gage did not miss a putt within seven feet of the cup.
Brady Wood finished runner-up medalist with a 75, Hudson McLaren, and Sam Brosam each shot 79 to help lead the Trojans to the team title with a 304. Jack Muller added an 86, and Braxton Hass shot 95.
