(Des Moines, IA) — Friday night, Drake Stadium hosted the Jim Duncan Invitational for college athletes. One of the highlights was Iowa’s Junior Ryan Johnson setting a new Hawkeye record in the hammer with a throw of 75/75 meters surpassing his previous program record of 73.20 meters set at the Musco Twilight last season. The junior from Springboro, Ohio, now holds the No. 2 mark in the country.
