(Des Moines) The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for Audubon, Guthrie, Carroll, and Crawford counties in west central Iowa until 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.
Forecasters are calling for southwest winds of 25-to-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour for portions of west central, central, and north central Iowa.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
