(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing to consider vacating a portion of 115th Street located south of Stuart.
The east half of the roadway is dirt, and nearby landowners have expressed interest in having that portion vacated. However, the board has also received input from others who would prefer the road remain open. The public hearing is set for Wednesday, April 22nd at 9:15 a.m.
In other business, the supervisors approved a lease agreement for a Pitney Bowes postage meter and signed off on a tax suspension presented by County Treasurer Brenda Wallace.
The board also approved longevity raises for Secondary Roads employees Luke Meisenheiemer and Bobby Jeanes. Additional action included approval of the W26 Prussia LOST box culvert project for the Fiscal Year 2026 letting, authorization to sign the final voucher for the N7 Eureka bridge replacement project, and approval of a right-of-way contract for the W26 Prussia RCB culvert project.
