(Des Moines) The National Weather Service says accumulating snowfall looks likely over southwest Iowa and south-central Iowa tonight. This wet, slick snowfall may impact the Tuesday morning commute.
Andrew Anscorge, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Des Moines, is forecasting a narrow band of snow that will swing through the area tonight.
The overnight snow will transition to rain through the day Tuesday, with little to no additional accumulation after sunrise tomorrow.
The period of wet weather, possibly late this week into next weekend, could lead to renewed rises on some area rivers.
