(Cumberland) Fire crews from Cumberland and Massena responded to a garage fire in Cumberland on Sunday evening.
Cumberland firefighter Sean South told KSOM/KS95 News that the call came in around 7:00 p.m. for an unattached garage fire at 121 Jackson Street. Crews arrived and were able to get the blaze knocked down quickly.
Massena Fire assisted on scene, providing mutual aid along with additional water and manpower. South noted that several propane tanks were inside the garage, and some of them exploded during the fire.
The garage and everything inside it was declared a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown.
