(Guthrie Center, IA) — The AC/GC sports department will have some changes next fall and none bigger than at the top as Taylor Luther has accepted the job of Activities Director. This is the first AD job for Luther who is from Waukee, IA and grew up playing softball. She was good enough to play it in college at NW Florida St. but her career was cut short because of injuries. She came back to Iowa and got her degree in elementary education at Iowa St. She says she learned a lot during her time at ISU
Eventually she got a job in the Waukee school system, coached softball and taught Special Education. Now she goes from one of the largest high schools in the state to a more smaller school
Luther says she is familiar with Guthrie Center and is looking forward to becoming a part of the district and is impressed with the facilities
Luther replaces Taylor Morris who will be leaving to become the Football Head Coach at Panorama.
