(Oakland, IA) — Riverside has been looking for a new football head coach and they did not have to look far — Tyler Johannsen has been promoted to Football Head Coach and will also take over as Activities Director for the Bulldogs in the new school year. Johannsen is currently the Assistant Principal and has been on Darrell Frain’s staff as offensive and defensive line coach.
Johannsen replaces Frain who announced his retirement in January — Frain spent 8 seasons as the football head coach and went 38-35 overall with three playoff teams.
