(Atlantic) Vision Atlantic is hosting an open house at the Camblin Hills Housing development site on Sunday, April 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dr. Bob Sharp and Deb Schuler appeared on this week’s segment of Vision Atlantic.
There will be representatives from Vision Atlantic on hand to answer questions about the square footage and any public concerns regarding the entire $84 million project. A variety of homes are being built on the site, including duplexes, townhomes, tiny homes, single-family dwellings of different sizes, and lots available for custom-built homes. The ten tiny homes will be rentals.
Dr. Sharp mentions there are 12 home designs to choose from, and three of them will be available at the open house. He says once the 42 to 44 units are complete, construction will start on the third phase of the housing development project.
Sharp says this project has all three: housing, children, and recreation.
However, Sharp says there are still funds to raise to get to the next phase of the project. He says currently, they have 87 percent of the necessary 100 percent raised; however, he says 90 percent is a magic number. Sharp says that at 90 percent raised, all kinds of things open up, including grant proposals and other opportunities to reach the final goal of 100 percent raised by December 31, 2026.
This $84 million transformative project includes 144 new housing units, an expansion of the YMCA, and a new 300-capacity childcare development center.
Deb Schuler says to learn more details about the entire project by visiting the website, www.visionatlantic.org.
