(Cass Co) Cass County groups planning gardening, beautification, or education projects can now apply for funding through the Cass County Master Gardeners, with an April 15 deadline.
The Cass County Master Gardener Memorial Grants are offered in remembrance of Master Gardener volunteers who have passed to honor their many years of service to the community. Funds are raised by Master Gardeners at events like their spring plant sale, set for Saturday May 9, and summer events such as the spring bus trip in late May and garden walk in June.
Grants are open to Cass County nonprofit organizations, including schools, libraries, 4-H clubs, Scouts, and churches. Each grant is valued at up to $300.
Recipients from the 2025 grant cycle are not eligible this year to ensure broader community participation.
Applications must include plans for teamwork and sustainability. Awardees will be required to submit an end-of-season report and will receive a sign recognizing their participation.
Applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 15. Recipients will be notified by May 1. Forms and additional information are available through the Cass County Extension Office or online at the Cass County Extension website.
