(Atlantic) Atlantic senior Lila Wiederstein is this week’s KS 95.7 Armour Insurance Trojan Athlete of the Week following her performances at the Northwest Missouri High School Kick-off indoor meet, and outdoor opener at Simpson College in Indianola on March 24.
Lila is picking up where she left off, qualifying in four events for the state track meet last year.
This past week, at the Northwest Missouri Indoor Kick-off, Wiederstein claimed first place in the long jump with a leap of (16-08.50). Wiederstein followed that up with a first-place finish in the 100 meters at an outdoor meet in Indianola on Tuesday, in a time of 13.22, a fourth-place finish in the 400 in a time of 1:06.14, and fifth in the long jump at 16-3.00. Wiederstein also anchored the Trojans ‘ third-place 4×100 meter relay team of Stellah Van Aernam, Jayci Reed, and Braeleigh Hass in a time of 51.39.
