(Atlantic) Republican candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, and State Auditor addressed a range of issues during a GOP forum Tuesday night at the Cass County Community Center in Atlantic, hosted by Republican groups from Adair, Audubon, Cass, Montgomery, and East Pottawattamie counties.
Gubernatorial candidates Brad Sherman, Eddie Andrews, and Adam Steen attended the event. One of the questions presented to the candidates was “What is your plan to grow Iowa, specifically rural Iowa.
Adam Steen says he has had the opportunity to travel across the state over the past seven months. Steen says meeting farmers, business people, and school teachers highlighted his 18 years of experience in the private sector.
Steen says the priority is skilled trade.
Steen says the other area is healthcare.
And his final point is education. Steen believes strongly in the Education Savings Account.
We will hear the Grow Iowa plans from Eddie Andrews and Brad Sherman next.
