(Atlantic, IA) — Iowa Attorney and former State Senator Jim Carlin addressed many issues at Tuesday’s Republican candidate forum in Atlantic — among them healthcare. One question posed was that the U.S. Congress has not passed significant health care reform since the Affordable Cares Act — otherwise known as Obama Care — was passed in 2010. Carlin is running in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate that will be vacated by Joni Ernst when her term expires this year — Carlin’s opponent is current Congresswomen Ashley Hinson who could not be in Atlantic on Tuesday because of her duties in the House of Representatives.
