(Lee County, Iowa) The Iowa State Patrol released the names of the two people killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lee County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday at 1674 Green Bay Road near Wever, Iowa. Authorities identified the victims as 61-year-old Scott Edwards, of Fort Madison, the driver of the vehicle, and 50-year-old Shawna Hutson of Wever, Iowa.
According to the report, a 2026 Lexus 400 traveling northbound on Green Bay Road crossed the centerline, entered the west ditch, struck an embankment, and came to rest in a field entrance on its top.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Lee County Ambulance assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
