(Pella, IA) — It was scheduled to be an indoor meet but with the weather so nice, why not go outdoors? CAM, Harlan and Tri Center girls track and field teams all went to Central College and ended up competing in their first outdoor meet of the season. Here are the highlights for each three teams:
CAM: Ada Hansen continue her solid start to the season, winning in the 400 meters at 59.87 which becomes the 14th fastest time in the state in all classes. The top 16 teams make it to the Drake Relays and the blue standard for the 400 is 57.05. Hansen was also 2nd in the 100 Hurdles at 15.22 seconds and 3rd in the 200 at 26.31 seconds.
Harlan: Julia Hestlink was 3rd in the 800; Ashlyn Rau 7th in the 3000. The Cyclones 4×400 relay finished in 3rd place with Aubree Wegner, Brinley Van Baale, Hestlink and Aspen Bieker.
Tri Center: Tess Casey finished in 2nd place in the 400 and 6th place in the 200. Layla Meador was 7th in the 100 Hurdles
