(Guthrie Center) AC/GC Schools Superintendent Josh Rasmussen announced Mrs. Taylor Tiernan has been hired as the new 7–12 Activities Director and At-Risk Coordinator for AC/GC High School.
Mrs. Tiernan currently serves as a Special Education Teacher and Assistant Softball Coach at Waukee High School. She brings six years of teaching experience, along with 11 years of coaching experience and three years of event operations experience at Iowa State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Drake University. She looks forward to applying her experience in education and leadership in her new role at AC/GC Schools.
Mrs. Tiernan is supported by her husband, Dan, who works in the family farm operation in Audubon County, and their dog, Maverick.
Mrs. Tiernan replaces Taylor Morris, who resigned from the Activities Director/At-Risk Coordinator position earlier this year.
