(Guthrie Center) The district has announced the appointment of Mr. William Shull as Physical Education Teacher, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Head Football Coach for AC/GC High School and Guthrie Center Elementary.
Mr. Shull currently serves as a Physical Education Teacher at Adair-Casey Elementary and AC/GC Junior High, and he is also the Head Girls Golf Coach at AC/GC High School. He previously contributed to the Charger Football program as an Assistant Coach and will step into the role of Head Football Coach beginning next fall, replacing Cody Matthewson.
Mr. Shull brings three years of teaching experience, including the past two years at AC/GC Junior High. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Northwest Missouri State University. He looks forward to continuing to grow and contribute in his expanded roles.
The district is excited to have Coach Shull leading the Charger Football program and anticipates a positive impact on student-athletes and the school community.
Mr. Shull is supported by his family, including his wife, Skie, who serves as the 7–12 Agriculture Education Teacher and FFA Advisor at AC/GC, and their son, Beckett (9 months).
