(Atlantic, IA) — The Atlantic boys track and field team will be competing at an indoor meet on Saturday in Maryville, MO hosted by NW Missouri St. Last week at the IATC indoor meet, the Trojans 4×800 relay ran a time of 8:47 which is better than at this point last season. Mason Betts, Landon Hagen, Sawyer Terrell and Corbin Ritter is the line up and Head Coach Abby Becker is excited what they can accomplish this season
Atlantic had two boys compete in the 60 meter hurdles last week — Shelton Mualia and Xander Killion and Becker liked what they achieved
Ethan McNeal ran the 60 meter and 200 meter dash. Becker says he was disappointed with his 200 but says he is in a good spot as he prepares for the outdoor meets
Collin Rudy also ran in the 400 — his PR at last year’s state meet was 52:51 and last week he ran a 53:14 so Becker is pleased with his starting point.
Becker expects to take a bigger roster to the meet tomorrow than last week’s IATC
Both boys and girls will be running on Saturday at NW Missouri St. with the meet starting at 11:30 am.
