(Seward, NE) — Riverside girls and boys track and field went to Concordia University in Nebraska to compete in a indoor meet on Friday. Both teams would finish in third place in the Bulldog Challenge Prairie Division — the girls had 51 points with Nebraska Christian winning with 102 points while the boys had 66 points with Platteview winning by one point 83-82 over Nebraska Christian.
For the girls, the 4×400 and 4×800 relay each finished in first place. The 4×400 with Arabella Singleton, Kayden Schnack, Meadow Dalby and Sophia Fenner won a time of 4:22.81 and the 4×800 with Fenner, Dalby, Azylyn Clark and Bailey Richardson won at 10:49.78. Fenner also won the shot put with a throw of 38-10.
Also for the Bulldogs, Bailey Richardson was 3rd in the 800; Danika Feigenbutz was 3rd in the 3200; Arabella Singleton was 4th in the 60 meter dash; Aubrey Lopez was 4th in the 400
On the boys side, Jaxon Gordon set a new meet record in the 60 meter hurdles — in the prelims he ran 8.51 seconds which was a record and then broke it in the finals with a 8.35 seconds.
The 4×400 relay also set a new meet record at 3:34.20 with Gordon, Cruz Jaquez, Eli Hudnall, and Brody Henderson. The 4×800 relay was first at 8:53.65 with Kingston Carrigan, Dawson Henderson, Trig Drahota, and Brody Henderson.
Owen Fenner was 2nd in the 800; Jack Branan finished 3rd in the 60 hurdles; Trent Spiering was 3rd in the discus; Eli Hudnall was 3rd in the 1600; Dawson Henderson was 4th in the 1600; Paden Schechinger was 4th in the 200; Kort Rieken was 4th in the 400; Owen Fenner was 4th in the 3200.
