(Atlantic) The Atlantic girl’s track team held its’ annual media day on Wednesday afternoon. The Trojans have high expectations heading into the 2026 track and field season. This year’s squad returns a solid group of athletes, and state qualifiers, led by seven seniors. The seven seniors and their interviews are posted below.

Atlantic senior Jayci Reed in a three-time state qualifier in the 100 hurdles, with multiple state medals, spoke to the media about off-season work, expectations, and her leadership role.

Atlantic senior sprinter, and Long Jumper Lila Wiederstein another multi-state qualifier. Lila qualified for the state meet in four events last season. The Long Jump, 200 meters, 100 meters, and anchored the 4×400 meter relay.

Adler Bruce is a three-time state qualifier in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay, with high expectations to return to the state meet in 2026.

Atlantic senior Katrina Williams is coming off an outstanding off-season having qualified for the state cross country meet, and all-conference selection in basketball.

Atlantic senior thrower Olivia Olson talks about her goals and expectations throwing the shot put, and the discus this season.

Atlantic senior sprinter Taylee Hagen will contribute to the team in the 400-meter races this season.

Bella Brock started running cross country during her sophomore season. This is Bella’s first time out for track. Brock says she is committed to improving and taking the sport to the next level at Iowa Western Community College.
The Trojans travel to Maryville, Missouri for an indoor meet on Saturday. The first outdoor competition is Tuesday, March 24 at Simpson College.
