(Area) — The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association announced the Boys Basketball All State teams for the 2025-26 season.
In Class 2A, AJ Harder of Tri Center was named First Team All State. The junior led the talented Western Iowa Conference in scoring at 20.5 ppg plus also led the WIC in assists with 6.6 and steals with 3.4 per game. Harder was also third in the conference in 60 three pointers made.
Other Western Iowa Conference players honored included Alec Lovely, Senior from Treynor as First Team All State in 2A; Garrett Luett, Senior, Underwood was 2A Third Team All State; and Ben Ramsey, Senior from IKM Manning, was selected 2nd Team All State in Class 1A.
Coon Rapids Bayard had both Heydon brothers honored — Senior Cal Heydon was selected First Team All State in Class 1A and Junior Ty Heydon was selected Third Team All State. Also in the Rolling Valley, Woodbine’s Junior Landon Blum was selected First Team All State.
Carroll Kuemper made it to the 2A finals and had three players selected All-State: Senior Ryan Clair is First Team; Junior Griffin Glynn 2nd Team; and Junior Dylan Schon is 3rd Team.
Carroll’s Senior Jared Mohr was selected 2nd Team All-State in Class 3A.
Finally, Reese Montgomery — a Junior from Red Oak — was named 3rd Team All State in Class 2A.
Jaidyn Coon, Senior, Storm Lake was named Mr. Basketball of 2025-26.
