(Greenfield, IA) — Nodaway Valley Boys Basketball only saw a one win improvement this season, finishing 5-18 but Head Coach Mick Long says that is deceiving. He says two years a go they were in only a couple of games — this season they were only out a couple of games. The games got closer but Long says his team needs to learn how to win those close ones
Nodaway Valley was led by Junior Ty Rardin at 13.2 points per game and Sophomore Jack Berg at 11.5 ppg. Long says they both could explode with a 20 point game on any given night
Nodaway Valley will have other players returning such as Sophomores Cassius Burnside and Evan Meisenheimer. The Wolverines will lose some players in the middle but Sophomore Titan Foster will be back who averaged 5.8 ppg and led the Pride of Iowa in rebounding at 10.8 per game
Nodaway Valley loses six seniors: starters Titus Hamer and Parker Schneider plus Dyllan Shannon, Landon LeBarge, Jaxson Stringer, and Jacob Fry.
