(Grimes, Iowa) The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday evening at a Casey’s General Store in Grimes.
Deputies were called to the Casey’s located at 951 SE Gateway Drive shortly before 6:30 p.m. on March 13 after one of the involved individuals reported the incident. According to authorities, shortly after the stabbing was reported, a person believed to be involved arrived at a Des Moines hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies and detectives remained at the scene Friday evening, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses and others involved in the incident.
Officials said the stabbing appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
