(Griswold, IA) — Low numbers and injuries did not help the Griswold Boys Basketball team this season. With a 4-19 record, Head Coach Ryan Lockwood could have had his guys give up but he gives the Tigers credit for playing through a challenging season
The Tigers lose three seniors — Brayden Lockwood was the leading scorer at 9.7 ppg while Wyatt Silk and Nollan Smith were also starters. Smith got hurt after ten games and Lockwood says his absence really hurt
Griswold returns some key sophomores — Dain Laverty (7.0 ppg) and Colton Frieze (4.1 pp) were starters plus Brayden Beck and Cedrick Vistor will be in line for more playing time. Lockwood says there have been some small classes but there is help on the way
There was just one junior on the roster this year — Walker Gary — who Lockwood says has improved as well.
