Jimmie David Steffens was born February 16, 1955, in Creston, IA. Jimmie passed away on March 1, 2026, peacefully at his home in Pocahontas, Iowa.
Jimmie is a 1973 graduate of Atlantic High School. He worked at SKelgas in Denison, attended Webster City Community College, where he earned his Aviation Degree, and then they moved to St. Clair, MN, working at Owatonna Airport. They later moved to Centerville, Iowa, as a Flight Instructor. Ending his career as a Manager at the West Union Airport.
Jimmie never met a stranger.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda, his parents, John and Ruth (Snyder) Steffens, and his brother, Gary D. Steffens.
His children survive him: Samara, Urbandale, IA; Francine, Council Bluffs, IA; John, Omaha, NE; Billie Jo, Algona, IA; and Jimmie Jr., Kansas City. Grandchildren: Chance Steffens, Des Moines, Micah Steffens, and Bronson Steffens, Canton, Minnesota. Sister, Joyce Anderson, Omaha, NE. Brother, Bruce (LuAnne) Steffens, Griswold, Iowa, and Sister-in-Law, Judy Steffens, Atlantic, Iowa.
