(Shelby Co.) The Shelby County Board of Supervisors approved salary adjustments for elected officials for the fiscal year beginning July 1st.
According to the meeting minutes, the Shelby County Compensation Board recommended a four-percent salary increase for the Auditor, Attorney, Recorder, Supervisors, and Treasurer, and a six-percent increase for the Sheriff. The Supervisors ultimately approved a 3.5-percent increase for the Auditor, Attorney, Recorder, Treasurer, and Supervisors, with the Chair receiving a $1,500 stipend. A six-percent increase was approved for the Sheriff.
The Supervisors then set a public hearing date of March 31st at 8:30 a.m. for the proposed FY27 property tax levy.
The board also approved the Multi-County 28E Agreement regarding Juvenile Detention Center and Emergency Juvenile Services.
