(Cass Co) The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests between February 27 and March 5 involving charges ranging from drug-related offenses and sex offender registration violations to a warrant for civil contempt of court.
On February 27th, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew Bernard Steffens, 45, of Atlantic on the charge of Sex Offender Registration – 1st Offence (failure to update relevant information). Steffens was booked on this charge and held at the Cass County Jail.
On March 2nd, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Summer Lynn Cole, 40, Atlantic on the charge of Gathering Where Controlled Substance Used, and Possession of Controlled Substances. Cole was transported to the Cass County Jail where she was booked and held.
On March 2nd, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shea Michael Young, 37, of Atlantic on the charge of Gathering Where Controlled Substance Used, and Possession of Controlled Substances. Young was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and held.
On March 2nd, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Amber Lynn Rhodes, 41, of Atlantic on the charge of Gathering Where Controlled Substance Used, and Possession of Controlled Substances. Rhodes was transported to the Cass County Jail where she was booked and held.
On March 3rd, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Charles Albert Mace Jr, 35, of Atlantic on the charges of Sex Offender – Verification Violation 1st Offense, and two counts of Sex Offender Registration – 1st Offence (failure to update relevant information). Mace was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and later released on bond.
On March 5th, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested Terry Lee Ranney, 67, of Massena on a Cass County Warrant for Civil Contempt of Court. Ranney was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and later released on bond.
All criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in the court of law.
