(Audubon, IA) — Audubon County Board of Supervisor Chairperson Kent Grabill updated the county on a potential ordinance dealing with animals that pose a threat to residents of the county during Tuesday’s meeting. Grabill says he plans on speaking with people who specialize in ordinances, however many questions need to be answered first:
This discussion comes the week after unleashed dogs in Hamlin were reported to the board by resident Monte Dreher. Dreher said that his and fellow residents’ pets and livestock have been continuously threatened by these dogs.
In other items, Treasurer Deb Campbell provided an update to the board on a depository resolution:
The board confirmed that there is still large amount of money yet to be used from the Audubon Economic Development fund, and discussion will need to be had on how it can be utilized for the county.
