(Guthrie Co.) An Adel man was injured in a motorcycle accident last week in Guthrie County.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says the crash occurred at 12:34 p.m. on February 16 on Koala Avenue, just north of 300th Street. 79-year-old Charles Thompson was operating a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Koala Avenue when he lost traction while traveling down a hill.
The motorcycle began to fishtail toward the west ditch. Thompson then overcorrected, causing the bike to fishtail toward the east ditch, where it overturned.
Thompson was transported by Mercy One to Mercy Downtown Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
