(Lincoln, NE) — Pryce Sandfort scored a career high 33 points to lead #9 Nebraska over Penn St. 87-64 in a Big Ten men’s basketball game on Saturday.
Sandfort was a sizzling 8 of 14 from three point range for the Cornhuskers plus added 9 rebounds and even had 2 assists and a block. Trailing 7-4, Sandfort drilled his first triple and moments later hit another one for a 10-7 lead. After a Lion bucket, Sandfort nailed one from just off the top of the key to make it a four point lead and the Huskers never trailed from there. Nebraska led 38-20 at the half.
Braden Frager added 15 points for Nebraska (23-4, 12-4) while Sam Hoiberg added 11 points. The Huskers had 14 threes total in the game and got back on the winning track after losing earlier this week to Iowa.
Penn St. (11-17, 2-15) was led by Ivan Juric and Kayden Mingo with 13 points each and Josh Reed added 11.
