(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors received an update on the need for volunteers for The Wall That Heals, which is coming to Pottawattamie County over Memorial Day weekend.
Brad Powell and Steven Houston, Volunteer Co-Coordinators, are reminding everyone that The Wall That Heals—a traveling three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial—will be at Lewis Central High School from May 22–25.
No military experience of any kind is required to volunteer, and there is no age requirement. However, if a volunteer is under 16, an adult must be present. Training will be provided for volunteers, but it is not mandatory for all 600 of them. The training will be held at 6:00 p.m. on May 21.
