(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors approved a motion for a zero-percent wage increase for the Board of Supervisors for FY27.
Supervisor Michael Christoffersen explained that the General Basic and General Supplemental carryover fund percentages are lower than what the board is typically comfortable with. He said he has been combing through many department budgets looking for areas where cuts could potentially be made.
Christoffersen compiled figures comparing where Adair County ranks among counties with similar populations.
Following approval of the zero-percent wage increase for FY27 for the Board of Supervisors, the board discussed meeting with county departments to identify ways to be more mindful of spending.
