(Atlantic) Atlantic and Denison-Schleswig square off in a regular-season finale tonight at Denison. The Trojans edged the Monarchs in the first go-around, 64-62, in overtime at Atlantic.
Atlantic forward Kale Jensen had an outstanding night, scoring the basketball. The senior led the team with 28 points while shooting 10-13 from the field, 2-4 from behind the arc, and 6-8 from the free throw line. Shelton Mualia snagged 12 rebounds for the Trojans.
Franken says the Trojans shot 13 percent from behind the three-point line, and Jensen kept the offense churning with the inside game.
Camdyn Nemitz led the Monarchs with 17 points, 6-10 from the field, and 4-8 from behind the arc. Wilson Riphin was a perfect 7-7 from the field, 1-1 from three-point land, and 1-2 from the free throw line. Denison-Schleswig shot 40 percent from the three-point line.
Atlantic is coming off an impressive 82-46 win over Lenox last Friday night. Coach Franken says it was the most complete game the team has played this season.
