(Atlantic) The Atlantic Public Library is inviting residents of all ages to share their voices at a pair of upcoming open mic reading nights.
A session for young readers and families will be held Monday, March 23, at 6 p.m. Participants are asked to present only family-friendly material during this event.
A second open mic night for teen and adult readers is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, at 6 p.m. There are no specific content restrictions for this session, though participants are encouraged to use good judgment when selecting material.
Readers may share original work or read from a favorite author. Each participant will be given a five-minute time limit.
Those interested in reading are encouraged to register in advance by calling the library at 243-5466 or by signing up through the library’s online calendar. Walk-in requests will be accepted as time allows.
Community members are also invited to attend as audience members. No registration is required to attend, and light refreshments will be served.
