(Oakland, IA) — Riverside boys wrestling will get a chance to compete on its home mat Saturday for districts. Junior Drew Anderson is 42-1 and ranked #1 at 138 pounds — Head Coach Casey Connover says he is wrestling at a high level right now. Jaxon Gordon likely will be the number one seed at 157 pounds with a 45-10 record. The Shanno brothers will be ones to watch — Junior Rex is 29-20 at 132 and Freshman Max is ranked 5th at 165 and is 42-10
Wyatt Bell has made the move from 285 to 215 and his 22-22 record will put him under the radar but Connover believes he has a shot at the top two behind Carson Edney who is ranked 4th for Logan Magnolia
Kingston Carrigan is ranked 11th at 126 — Logan Magnolia’s Crosby Yoder is ranked 2nd. Jack Branan is 29-15 but is in a wide open bracket at 144. Mason Houser is 35-10 and likewise has a wide open bracket at 150. Overall, Connover wants his boys to wrestle the Riverside way
The Bulldogs will entertain Bedford, CAM, East Mills, Essex, Lenox, Logan Magnolia, South Central Calhoun, Southwest Valley and West Monona.
