(Cedar Rapids) One person suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Linn County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Wednesday at around 7:45 p.m. at Highway 100 and Cedar River. Authorities say 69-year-old Scott Rowedder of Coralville suffered injuries in the crash. An area ambulance transported Rowedder to Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
According to the report, Rowedder was driving an eastbound 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup westbound on Highway 100. Meanwhile, a Linn County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop the pickup and collided head-on at the Cedar River on Highway 100.
Authorities say Rowedder is suspected of driving impaired by alcohol.
