(Onawa) The Monona County Sheriff’s Office has charged 43-year-old David Ira Bryan with Arson in the Second Degree. The charge follows a series of suspicious fires that the Sheriff’s Office has been diligently investigating.
The investigation began after two fires occurred on the evening of Monday, January 26 at 509 9th Street and 621 6th Street in Onawa. On Wednesday, January 28, the Sheriff’s Office initiated an additional investigation into a fire at the Monona County Fairgrounds located in the 100 block of 12th Street.
The Monona County Sheriff’s Office was joined by members of the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the ATF in these efforts. The Sheriff’s Office extends their gratitude to all community members who came forward with crucial information.
The fires at 509 9th Street and 621 6th Street remain under investigation. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is urged to contact the Monona County Sheriff’s Office.
