(Mapleton) The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking feedback on a proposed bridge replacement on Iowa 141/Iowa 175 in Mapleton in Monona County.
Improvements include replacing the existing bridge with a new longer and wider bridge.
Construction will take place starting in the spring of 2028 and be completed by the end of 2028.
Iowa 141/Iowa 175 will be closed during construction and an off-site detour will be utilized. The detour will likely use the following routes:
-Iowa 175 north at the junction with Iowa 141 to Danbury
-South on County Road D54/L37 to County Road L37
-Continue south on County Road L37 to County Road E16
-West on County Road E16 to the junction of Sioux Street in Mapleton
-West on Sioux Street to N 4th Street
-South on N 4th Street back onto Iowa 175 southwest
