(Ames, IA) — Six players were in double figures as #8 Iowa St. blew out Colorado 97-67 in a Big 12 men’s basketball game on Thursday night.
Sebastian Rancik hit an opening three pointer for the Buffs and then the Cyclones went on a 21-0 run to take control of the game. Joshua Jefferson had 7 points during the run and Colorado missed 6 straight shots and took three timeouts. Iowa St. led 52-29 at the half and cruised the rest of the way.
Iowa St. (19-2, 6-2) shot 61 percent from the field in the game and was 10-21 on their three pointers. Jamarion Batemon led with 17 points off the bench, Milan Momcilovic had 16 points,; Tamin Lipsey had 14 points and 5 assists; Jefferson had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists; Killyan Toure and Dominykas Pleta each added 12.
Colorado (12-9, 2-6) was led by Isaiah Johnson with 24 points — the Buffaloes were just 7-24 on their three pointers.
