(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors approved a request from County Sheriff Jeff Vandewater to increase the wages for dispatchers due to turnover and to remain competitive with other counties.

The Supervisors then approved part-time employment for a jailer/dispatcher who recently resigned to work in the Treasurer’s Office.
In other action, the Supervisors approved FY27 wages with a 2.8% increase for elected officials and an adjustment for the County Attorney.
The board approved the low bid from Grimes Asphalt in the amount of $1,290,943.90 for the OEC paving project and the low bid from Govco in the amount of $325,221.25 for the W18 Harrison bridge project.
