(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors had a busy agenda at Tuesday’s meeting, officially setting the EMS Committee and first meeting plus getting some good news about a future road project.
County Engineer Josh Sebern reported to the supervisors that a CPF community funding grant was included in a recent bill in the US Congress last week and Guthrie County could get $3 million in federal funding for the refurbishing of White Pole Road. Sebern still proceeded with a resolution for block grant funding of the road
The supervisors approved that resolution and approved the right of way contracts permanent and temporary easement for several bridge projects.
The Human Resources, Conservation and Attorney departments gave their budget presentation — the supervisors will be doing extra meetings all this week looking at budget proposals from the county departments for FY26-27.
The supervisors also named the members of the EMS Advisory Council after setting its parameters in previous meetings.
