(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police Department identified the victim of a fatal accident on Saturday as 19-year-old Aliyah Parker of Shenandoah.
The accident happened at around 11:15 a.m. Preliminary investigation revealed that Parker was operating a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu on I-80 westbound at the 0-mile marker when she lost control and rear-ended the trailer of a semi that was also westbound.
Police say driving too fast for roadway conditions was the apparent cause of the crash. Any witnesses are encouraged to contact the Traffic Unit at 712-328- 4948.
