(Cleveland, OH) — Experts say it’s this time of year that makes for the perfect environment for carbon monoxide poisoning.
Thomas Waters, an emergency medicine physician at the Cleveland Clinic, says carbon monoxide is preventable by using carbon monoxide detectors and making sure all fuel-burning appliances are well maintained.
Waters says if your carbon monoxide detector does go off, it’s important to get out of the house.
Symptoms of carbon monoxide include headache, nausea and shortness of breath.
