(Guthrie Co.) The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office investigated a hit-and-run incident that occurred over the weekend.
According to the report, a 2012 Chevrolet Impala was legally parked facing east in the public right-of-way southeast of 401 North Street. The incident happened sometime between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities say an unknown vehicle drove west through an alley north of the parked car, then traveled south through the yards between homes in the 400 block of North 4th Street and North 5th Street. The vehicle struck the Impala, then backed up, drove around it, and exited the yards onto North Street.
The Impala sustained damage to the driver’s side rear door, with estimated damages totaling approximately $2,500.
At this time, the driver and occupants of the other vehicle are unknown, as is the make and model of the vehicle involved.
