(Oakland, IA) — The girls wrestling regionals are less than two weeks away and Riverside has just one more meet to prepare. The Bulldogs face some tough competition last Friday in Ankeny at the Bob Sharp Invitational. Riverside Head Coach Ben Dorr says they did not get any champions but they were one of the smallest schools in the field
Sophomore Hailey Harvey suffered her first loss of the season in the tournament to Nora Bockes of Ankeny 11-6 — Dorr says there were some controversial calls in the match but Harvey is now 27-1. Jersey Hilgenberg is 22-4 and Dorr says she has faced tough competition
Also for Riverside, Junior Hannah Marsh is 14-7, Sophomore McKenna Dorr is 10-4 and Freshman Rylei Price is 18-8. One girls that is no longer on the mat is the Bulldogs only senior Khloe Corum who suffered a season ending injury early
Riverside will go to Louisville, Nebraska for their final regular season meet this Friday — they will be in the 1A Regionals in Atlantic next Friday, coverage on KS 95.
