(Waterloo) Three people died in a head-on collision in Black Hawk County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Monday at around 4:05 p.m. on Interstate 380 southbound near mile marker 63. Authorities say 63-year-old Thomas Sidler of Robertsdale, Alabama, Judy Fisher, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and 45-year-old Jessica Fisher of Cedar Rapids died in the accident.
According to the report, Thomas Sidler was driving a northbound 2025 Ford F150, crossed the median, and collided head-on with a southbound 2018 Toyota RAV4 driven by Judy Fisher. Both vehicles came to rest off the travel portion of the southbound lanes. All three occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
